What do Republicans Mean When We Say Enforcing Immigration Laws Already On the Books?

Immigration laws in the US are very complex. Similar to Obamacare & tax reform, it is very easy to skip the heavy reading and just trust the mainstream media to give you the facts. Historically, immigration to the United States has been based on the reunification of families, admitting immigrants with skills that are valuable to the U.S. economy, and protecting refugees. Since 2000, 1 million are welcome to the US annually, but because of all of the loop holes, we currently have 37 million immigrants here. Below is a quick overview of how and who we accept in our country….

  • Family Based Immigration- The limit annually in the country is 480k of those that are immediate family. However, that limit does not apply to children and spouses. That is where it gets tricky, that number isn’t defined, so we end up with many members of one family able to reunite with members already in the US. This also includes going through the preference system. A family member already here can petition for another relative to come to the US if they can prove that person will financially assist the member currently here.
  • Temporary Visas- There are 20 types of temp visas. For example, athletes, entertainers, religious workers, diplomats, nurses etc.. Basically those sponsored by an employer for a specific job.
  • Permanent Immigration- This one is complicated. Like many there are a certain number of visas allocated, but we exceed 140k visas every year. Those that qualify have advanced degrees, special skills, workers with experience or training in an area we are lacking here in the US, and those that can employ at least 10 people. It also states those with extraordinary abilities, what the heck does that mean? A bad ass circus clown? Very vague.
  • Pre-Country Ceilings- This is supposed to ensure all countries get a fair shake. Each country can not contribute more than 7% to our immigration population. It doesn’t take someone with 20/20 vision to see that way more people are coming in through the southern border than any other country. This law is continuously broken and should be better enforced.
  • Refugees & Asylees- In my opinion, this is the worst law on the books with more loopholes than a colander. Each year the President, with Congress, decides on this number. Which is silly, because the number is constantly overlooked. Once in our country, any illegal immigrant can claim they can’t go home due to life threatening situations. Who checks out their story? Great question, I don’t know. After a year the refugees are granted Lawful Permanent Residents. From my understanding, this is how we ended up with most of our immigrants. If you could imagine, ICE is overwhelmed and it only makes sense to include the National Guard in protecting the border. Which both President Obama & President Trump did to try to control this problem.
  • The Diversity Visas- I honestly see no problem with this law. This law allows countries with a very low number of people coming to the US to join the party. 50k visas are available and the individuals chosen are usually found to contribute to society and less likely commit a crime.
  • US Citizenship- Lastly, everyone complains that this is the hardest of them all, well its honestly the law that makes the most sense. Applicants for U.S. citizenship must be at least 18 years old, demonstrate continuous residency, demonstrate “good moral character,” pass English and U.S. history and civics exams, and pay an application fee.

So, this is what Republicans mean when we say lets start by enforcing the laws on the books. If we could at least adhere to the number of visas allocated for each, that would help. 50% of immigrant homes rely on government assistance. Only 30% of American homes rely on government assistance. Crazy, right?

Another fun fact, President Obama deported 2.8 million immigrants in 8 years, the most in American history. President Trump most likely will not hit 2.8 in 8 years, but we shall see. I hope this helps!

Is President Trump Today’s Governor George Wallace?

President Trump captured enough electoral votes for the win. A glance back in recent history tells this story. While Hillary Clinton blames everyone but herself, you have to understand, her arrogance led her to believe she was above history repeating itself. So if I may, cheer up Hillary, it was never your time.

Like Wallace, Trump actually has a heart for the African American race and the poor. However, when you seek both money and power, and most importantly power, in this country, the blacks and the poor do not hold a special place in that same heart. The reasons President Trump does not condemn the KKK and Putin are quite obvious, they are the same reasons former Judge Wallace differed from then Governor Wallace, he has made a deal with the devil.

I know many believe I am a huge President Trump supporter because I defend many of his actions on social media. I have my reasons. The main reason is simply due to his bravery to fight the status quo. There are many events in US history that outlines a brotherhood between the police, secret service, CIA, FBI, government officials, and the mob. Assassinations all connected leading to a “lone wolf” and the average American will never be privy to the truth. Events both now and in the past that have been orchestrated purposely so that we the people cry out for more law and order. It is my belief the Vegas Shooter is baffling our federal agents because for once they truly had no idea he existed.

President Trump knew with the protests and the Black Lives Matter movement front and center he could sway those that did not like the feeling of division, and also those that did not like the thought of a black person being equal or superior. His strategy was simple, yet at a time when it could be most effective due to the state of our country. I know it is hard for many liberals to grasp that not all Trump supporters are racist, one day they may understand he also has the support for those wanting domestic peace and less government.

At the start of President Trump’s campaign, I bet he truly believed he could be the one to “drain the swamp”. To do that you would literally have to dismantle every branch of the government at the same time all while changing policies to limit the government in every aspect. Many insert he is changing every policy former President Obama has put in place to undo what a black man has accomplished. Yet, if you look closely, he is changing policies that limit government and those that are pulling strings behind the scenes. Am I the only one wondering why President Obama felt the need to break bread with Cuba?

Democrat and republican leaders all seek money and power. The problem I have with the democratic party is they will obtain both money and power by any means necessary. In history, some conspiracy theories have substantial evidence to where if you connect the dots, you can see not only sabotage of a party mate, but murder for a chance at the top spot has occurred. As we saw in the past election, the DNC and Hillary Clinton went out of their way to ensure the loss of Bernie Sanders. I say out of their way because I believe he didn’t have what it took to beat Clinton regardless, but apparently she scares easily.

I have a theory of my own. I believe President Trump will get back to his roots after the pot is stirred to a boiling point and he is in his second term. Like Wallace he will continue to court a specific group. “Segregation today, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever” is Trump’s “Make America Great Again”. Skirting the media by breaking his own news on Twitter will continue to anger many news networks, that will continue the attacks on him and keep him front and center. Tweeting about the NFL and every black protest will seem as if he is against the rise of a black man and will keep his racist voters satisfied, but he will flip the script angering those voters once re-elected. Similar to when Governor George Wallace had to pretend to oppose of integration at Alabama University. Maintaining his stance on immigration and tax reform will create a soft spot for the working class. And of course, for his wealthy friends, well he has to think of something quick. Congress dropping the ball on healthcare was a bad a look.

Was President Trump up against a modern day John Patterson? No, but people were afraid and angry, and tapping into that sealed the deal. I also have a few suggestions, dump Omarosa for former Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele, get Ivanka out of official business, and hand a yuge project to Melania.

Mark my words, President Trump will serve two terms.

Colin Kaepernick Signing an NFL Contract Nullifies His Stance

“Runaway Slave Patrol”, according to unsigned Colin Kaepernick, is the perfect description of today’s police force. I wonder how he describes the NFL draft? You know, when rich white men evaluate mostly black men for their strength and physical ability. Choosing the best based on their performance in the field. Owners branding men immediately with a hat displaying their trademarked logo. Wait a minute….

What do we know for sure?

Kaepernick took a knee during the National Anthem as a stance against police brutality and the oppression of black people. Many on social media, not to be confused with the actual population within the United States, believe he is now being blackballed for his silent protest. Let us keep in mind this may actually be true. However, it is an owner’s right not to sign anyone they do not want to represent their brand. Ask Terrell Owens and Allen Iverson. So if everyone is exercising their rights, what is the problem? To some, a team exercising their right isn’t right because Kaepernick’s right is for social injustice and that right should precede any other right. I hope I got that right.

Unfortunately, the outrage that Colin Kaepernick is unsigned doesn’t actually align with his stance. For one, the amount of police surrounding the players in order to ensure their safety has got to make Kaepernick uncomfortable. Why would his supporters want him around that many officers? The NFL Association is a union established to protect players, their rights, and image. Why didn’t the union defend Colin’s first amendment right to kneel? Signing a contract is hardly freedom, the NFL has a long history of oppressing players, that was figured out in 1956 when the union was established. Think about it, Kaepernick fans begging for his NFL paycheck basically says he depends on a system which he decided to publically resist. Taking a job in the national league, that honors the National Anthem, goes against his personal views. Might I add, he opted out of his contract, he wasn’t kicked to the curb.

I will say I support his campaign for citizens to be familiar with the law, and understanding their rights. I will also say he and his girlfriend look related, but that is none of my business. At the end of the day, Kaepernick may receive an offer he and his agent can agree to accept. If Manziel gets a shot to coach college ball, anything is possible.

Deray McKesson Paid $165k to Terminate Teachers Due to $130 Million Deficit

Many Baltimore City residents gave Maryland Governor Larry Hogan the side eye for declining to bail out public schools now strapped with a $129 million deficit. As of July 1, $80 million cuts happened for individual schools, teachers and staff. 1,000 teachers and staff were laid off effecting approximately 82,000 students currently enrolled. Larger class sizes and favorite teachers missing will be the new normal for many in the Fall.

Another missing will be self proclaimed civil rights activist Deray Mckesson. He recently announced he will be leaving his position, not to be confused with staff that was let go due to budgeting issues. As the head of human resources, Deray was raking in $165,000 a year. CEO Sonja Santelises praised McKesson’s work exclaiming he showed great attention to detail, and worked late nights on complex staffing and payroll issues. So basically Deray was paid three times his salary to fire teachers in order to offset the budget and, well, payroll.

The CEO’s comments are intriguing, considering you can find Deray Mckesson on Instagram working late nights on furthering his agenda during the school year. February 24, Friday, during business hours, Deray shared a panel with former Attorney General Eric Holder discussing race in Atlanta. April 5, Wednesday he attended an event in New York alongside Yara Shahidi. On December 2, 2016, a Monday, Deray was speaking at the BoFVoices ‘Race, Inequality, and Privilege summit. Next photo shows later that night he was with his “Crew. BOFVoices” he writes. Next day, he was again speaking at the summit, definitely not in his Baltimore office that Tuesday. November 9, Wednesday, a great day in American history if I may add, Deray posted a few photos of himself consoling Cher at the Javtis Center in New York as the votes did not roll in for Hillary Clinton. On September 14, Wednesday, not sure if the CEO recalls seeing him, that evening, he posted a photo hanging out New York at a CBC event? On July 9, 2016, Deray made headlines for being arrested in Baton Rouge while protesting with his group Campaign Zero. He missed work on July 11th, Monday, and his colleagues were unsure if he would be released by Tuesday to attend a Baltimore City Public School meeting to take notes. You get the picture.

While collecting Baltimore City tax dollars, Deray managed to start a podcast, “Save the People”, receive notice via federal lawsuit that he is the one to blame for inciting a riot that resulted in the deaths of three police officers and wounding three more, partied at the Essence Festival the day the new budget cuts were administered, and one of the most offensive, tried to make the male romper a fashion statement. Perhaps Governor Hogan knows just how much fraud and senseless spending is going down in Baltimore City and found no reason to throw more money at the worst school district in the state of Maryland. I can’t help but wonder how much of Deray McKesson’s salary went toward funding political campaigns? If Deray Mckesson is any indication of the waste, CEO Sonja Santelises should be one of the 1,000 let go this summer.

Failed Notre Dame Walk Out

How embarrassing?

Prior to the walkout during Notre Dame commencement with guest speaker Vice President Mike Pence, organized group We StaND For, was not involved in much. The group has labeled itself as a student activist coalition, and according to their twitter feed, they believed there was going to be a successful walk out this past weekend.

Turns out only 100 students joined the group to show their dismay in VP Mike Pence. Over 3,000 students remained in their seats, some even shouted a few boos to those that decided to get up and leave. Once the students left the event, they stood outside the ceremony awaiting their photo opportunity wearing gay pride ribbons.

Of course groups such as the Women’s March praised the students that decided to selfishly take attention away from those that worked hard and paid a lot of money to enjoy their graduation. There is a time and place to protest the current administration, and this wasn’t the place. It seems the liberals have yet to understand that the abundance of protests are continuing to sway many independents to the right.

Nordstrom Made A Yuge Mistake

Well, it is no secret Nordstrom recently dropped Ivanka Tump’s line from their stores, but was it the right move? Liberals claiming to shop at the department store started a nationwide campaign for Nordstrom to drop the brand, though, at first, Nordstrom seemed to be holding its stance and not choosing a side. However, after pressure applied via social media, Nordstrom folded and stated they were dropping Ivanka’s line due to sales.

Now could it be true? Sure, but let’s be real, there are a few brands at Nordstrom that could have also received the boot that did not. Unfortunately, when you side with a group that is very good at claiming to be victimized by something so simple, you can’t predict their next target. Just a couple days ago Nordstrom announced its nonprofit partner for 2017, YWCAUSA.

YWCAUSA mission statement:

  • We seek to increase the equal protections and equal opportunities of people of color.
  • We work to increase economic opportunities for women and girls of color, recognizing the importance of addressing the race and gender inequities that exist for this historically and contemporarily marginalized community.
  •  We strive to improve the often disproportionately negative health and safety outcomes for women and girls of color by making sure they have access to high-quality health and safety resources and support systems.

Interesting, drop the President’s daughter, and then announce partner that could be considered anti-Trump. YWCAUSA tweets almost hourly about how much they despise everything the Trump administration is doing, right down to his choice in cabinet members.

Lets be honest, staying quiet and not choosing a side until the storm passed would have had an effect on sales for maybe a month, if that, who knows if those boycotting actually shopped at the department store? Today’s protestors move with the so called movement, so the next target is a trendy tweet away. I believe Nordstrom made two mistakes. Mistake one, whomever orchestrated the boycott have made Nordstrom their donkey. At any point, they can claim Nordstrom is discriminating against customers or not hiring enough black people and begin a boycott tomorrow. Keep in mind Al Sharpton made a career out of pulling the race card against corporations, ask Macy’s. Mistake two, those not looking to shop somewhere that gets involved in politics, and of course Trump supporters, will walk away. Might I mention, depending on Ivanka’s contract with Nordstrom, if she finds that she was dropped due to boycott, as a woman, she too could claim discrimination and file a lawsuit.

In a nutshell, Nordstrom better pray they made the right choice, oh wait, they chose the side that doesn’t get involved in prayer.

Climate Change Is Out, Police Reform

Every year it seems the left comes up with a buzz word or two to act as if the problem isn’t what we all know it to be.

For instance, Police Reform places blame on the police for all criminal behavior. Stating because the police do not have a better relationship with the community, there is a ton of crime and killings. I don’t even think my 9 year old stepdaughter would buy this insertion. A lot of this starts at home. A good upbringing and family structure goes a long way. Did you know 78% of high school dropouts are raised in a home where the father is absent? Notice I did not say black homes? This is not a race issue, this is a daddy issue.

According to the National Fatherhood Initiative, those from a fatherless home are more likely to go to prison, more likely to abuse alcohol and drugs, 7 times more likely to become pregnant as a teen, more likely to commit a crime, and the list of negatives go on. So it isn’t surprising that in a predominantly black community, so much crime is taking place. 79% of black children live in a fatherless home. It isn’t rocket science, its just not what people want to hear. Democrats like to cater to feelings, and the general feeling is there must be someone to blame. So who is taking the wrap? Not the fathers abandoning their children, the police.

Don’t get me wrong, there are some strong single mothers keeping their children on the straight and narrow. There are some mothers working 3 jobs to make ends meet, and just can’t possibly keep a watchful eye at all times. Of course, there a few that could just care less and love the fact that they can blame others for their poor parenting. My question, do the police need reform? Or do Police Commissioners need to be held responsible for their “bad apples”? I guarantee if you told a chief his job is on the line for any hate crime committed by any officer on their force, we would see a drastic change. Should police make an effort to build a trusting relationship with the residents on their beat? Absolutely, so many more cases would be solved. But to send police into communities to build these relationships without respect for their lives, well in some areas, that is downright dangerous. Respect for our men and women in blue is at an all time low. Perhaps we should build a trusting relationship on both ends.

Gays Wanted Acceptance, Now Reject Society

In 2015 the Supreme Court decided to legalize same-sex marriage in all 50 states. Yet, we have seen many in the LGBTQ community reject the idea that they must accept the President elected by all 50 states.

That’s funny, there were many objecting to the law, yet it was completely forced on the entire country. If you disagreed aloud you were considered a homophobe. It never occurred to the supporters that some of us had a few questions on how it could affect the future. Could this be the beginning of the government forcing what most believe to be immoral upon the country? Next I knew everyone wanted to use the same bathroom. Are the women’s restroom lines not long enough as it is?

This is the classic, “give them an inch, they take a yard” scenario. It went from equality and tolerance to totalitarian . If we are sympathizing with people’s feelings, shouldn’t we have to sympathize across the board? We can’t teach God in schools any longer, but same-sex marriage has been added to textbooks. Perhaps you have parents against gay rights just as much as some parents are against my man Jesus?

Just this past weekend we witnessed the Women’s March claim to be an inclusive get together of solidarity. However, if you are pro life or pro Trump, yeah the President of the United States, you weren’t invited. I am a firm believer that the rule of law is very important. Changing laws to make someone feel like they are a part of a team, that they later don’t want to be a part of, seems silly. I personally am not bothered by gay rights, though, I am fearful of this road of “tolerance” we seem to be on.

At this rate we will make one big circle to conservative views, or we will have another Civil War. If I were a snowflake against the right to bear arms, I would chill.

Rep John Lewis Reminds Us Why We Need Term Limits

Can we stop pretending Representative John Lewis is relevant?

Rep Lewis got himself into a beef with President Elect Donald Trump, yet people are acting as if this beef actually deserves a spotlight. Way before I was born, Representative Lewis found himself on the front line in many dangerous situations fighting for civil rights. He clearly played a key role in desegregation of the south. I am just trying to figure out what he has done since then?

John Lewis has been a Georgia politician since 1987, yes 30 years, and has not brought forth one law to better the circumstances of black people in America. Lets go a bit deeper, he has not brought forth one law, period. He has organized demonstrations and made a stink about not attending inaugurations of president elects he doesn’t consider a friend. He has publically opposed a few bills, didn’t offer any fixes, but made sure to throw a fit. Basically, Representative Lewis throws temper tantrums that are seen by more than just people in a Walmart check out line.

I hate to be rude, not really, John Lewis may be one of the least effective members of congress. The 50-something democrats on the hill not attending this year’s inauguration claim they are being a voice for their constituents. Well, what about the constituents that voted for President Elect Trump? What message are you sending the Trump supporters in your district? Better yet, which finger are you waving their way?
